I got a trade proposal in my keeper league. You can keep 3 players per yr at a 10% salary increase and there's a $150 cap.
Give up: Steve Slaton $2 Get: Michael Crabtree $1/1st rd rookie draft pick
Slaton at $2 is a steal. The upside of Crabtree is tempting, plus a pick thrown in. I'm debating this trade. Would you do it?

if slaton didnt have his fumble problems id hands down keep him, even so slaton is gonna be a solid player

IMO the fumbling problem can/will be fixed and his benching was more of a message to stop coughing up the ball as opposed to a permanent demotion.
The thing is Slaton could split carries long term and may not be viewed as a goal line back. Crabtree could develop into a legitimate #1 receiver and has huge upside.

| yeah i agree he will remain the starter. i just think its too early to tell how crabtree will pan out. although i do think he has the chance to be great

I pulled the trigger.
Now, I still have great keeper options: Ray Rice - $9, Kevin Smith - $4, Pierre Thomas - $11, Crabtree - $1, Megatron - $18, Marshall - $15 and 2 rookie draft picks next year for my practice squad (Shonn Greene already on practice squad) and the potential #1 pick in the draft.
