How can some of you pick Rivers? The guy has ZERO leadership skills and almost no intangibles. He's been on a really talented team for years and they constantly underachieve. Plus he whines! How many good QB's are whiny b****es? Brady sort of is, but he only whines to the refs and rarely "pouts".

Fantastic passer, not much else there...

Give me Roethlisberger followed closely by Rodgers.

Rodgers over Rivers? Are you kidding me?

Rivers has LEAD his team from certain doom to make the playoffs (last year), has won important games, has won playoff games, and still has all the same stats Rodgers does.

And you can say that Rivers has so much talent this year and he's got the same record as Rodgers, but the Charger's talent is over exaggerated every year, and is riddled with injuries. The only talented thing on that whole team right now is Rivers and his receivers. The defense is playing like sh*t, there is no running game to speak of, the oline is still a mess trying to adjust to the injuries they've had. Yet Rivers, almost by himself is keeping that team in the hunt. And they've actually beat somebody worth a d*** unlike the Packers.

Rivers is an elite QB, top 5 EASILY

This is pretty much the exact logic that I use when I say Rogers is not elite. I don't know why this is so hard for these dudes to understand.

And I couldn't agree more about SD and their "talent". It's so exaggerated every year. *cough* Chris Chambers *cough*

I think it is safe to Say Rivers is the top "talent" and QB in this category.

My only gripe about him is that he is annoying as hell to watch, and his p**** whining, moaning, and trash talking would piss me off even more if he were my team's QB.

That said, hell yes I'd still take him.

Rivers didn't lead his team to s***, the Broncos fell apart. 5-3 in the second half of the season is nothing to write home about.

If Rivers talent is overrated then the Pack's talent is extremely overrated. And you conveniently ignore the fact that last year was Rodgers FIRST year as a starter..,and he won 2 less regular season games than Rivers.

Who have the Chargers beat? a slumping Dolphins team? whoop-de-f***ing-doo. Rivers has done less with more while Rodgers is leading the league in QB rating behind the worst OL I've seen in years.

I never disputed Rivers was good, but he is a whiny b**** with no leadership skills and he's gonna "lead" the Chargers to jacks*** again this year.

The whole "first year as a starter" thing is getting old. Rogers isn't your typical first year starter. The dude sat how long under a HoF QB? Rogers had the longest and possibly best mentoring/learning period any QB could hope for. His grace period expired expired after a 6-10 season.

Con it is funny you say rivers doesn't have any leadership yet everytime I watch a chargers game the commentators talk about his leadership and how good it is. In fact I am sure it would be real easy to pull up some articles about his leadership. I see him pumping his teammates up and trying to get in the other teams head. He plays with a ton of passion, but I agree he looks like a whiner a lot, but then again so does jay cutler. And rodgers looks pretty gay literally.

WTF, it's widely known that Favre did jacks*** to help Rodgers and barely talked to him.

Romo sat for years too but he can't hold Rodgers jock, what is your point exactly?

It's very clear you just don't like his personality, so you don't think he's a good leader.

The guy is as good of a leader as their is football. He's passionate, he's talented, and if the team needs him too, he can carry the team on his back. What more can you ask from the guy? Just cause he "whines" a lot, which really is just a factor of being a young passionate player. Brett Favre was a "whiner" when he was young too.

Rivers >>>> Rodgers and it's not even close at this point. When Rodgers leads his team to a winning record, let alone the playoffs, then we can argue this again.

You all hate Rodgers because he is a Packer.

Truly that is all this is.

You guys hated on Favre when he was one saying he was overrated.

So the Packs record last year was Rodgers fault? ::) What a horses*** argument.

I guess Rivers is the sole reason the Chargers went 8-8 last year?

Rodgers is going through arguably the biggest QB controversy in the history of the league and has handled it better than Rivers could dream of. Rivers is an immature whiny b**** who is surrounded by talent and has nothing to show for it.

and in case you were wondering Rodgers is playing better than River this year behind the leagues worst OL. suck it

Matt Ryan brought all life to those Falcons...Roddy White pre-Matt Ryan had the BUST label written all over him, now he's got a solid QB under them helm who is only 24, it's pretty scary how much better Ryan could get..

Wait, Romo can't hold Rogers' jock? WTF... they're practically carbon copies of each other... cept Romo actually gets regular season wins.

Whether Favre was a good mentor doesn't really matter. Rogers was on the same team, and got the benefit of not being thrown to the wolves too soon like so many rookies.

Contento.. I'm really starting to think Rivers slept with your mother or something...

I have been watching Rivers Since his sophmore year at NC State and I can assure you that Rivers has all the intangibles and is a natural born leader.

His teams always ralley around him. How do you figure he wines?

The guy is on the sidelines firing people up for the most part.

I'd go:

Rivers
Ryan
Flacco

Meanwhile Rivers leads his team to a game winning TD.... meanwhile Rogers looks up the term "game winning TD" on wikipedia.
